PhotoHunt: Hanging

Thought doing the weekly PhotoHunt might be fun. (Actually, I've wanted to do it for a couple of weeks now, but couldn't find a good picture for the themes. That's probably not how it's supposed to work.) This pic is from the Andy Warhol museum in Pittsburgh, thought it fit the theme quite nicely.

Is that "art" hanging there. It took me a while to figure out it.

Welcome to the hunt. It IS a lot of fun and it really gets your mind working.

Welcome and a great choice for the theme

Nice one! I saw similar stuff when we went to the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.

Here's my Photo Hunt for the day. I'll bet you never heard of this kind of hanging before!

hummie--You can't think too much about some of Andy Warhol's stuff. Just accept that it is art when you get to the museum and go with it.

rambling woods--Thanks! Your pics are beautiful!

mrs. mecomber--Yours are very unique! A little strange, but pretty at the same time.

rebecca--Thanks! Yours is a great pic.

suzanne--The picture doesn't really do the exhibit justice, there is something about being there next to the art that you can't capture in a picture.

mimi11460--They are large punching bags, that boxers use, with drawings on them.

For those wondering, the piece in the photo was a collaboration between Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The drawings are of the head of Jesus Christ with the word "Judge."

tnchick--thanks!

random ramblings--yes, they are punching bags. Pretty much the complete opposite of your pic!

Patrick--For some unknown reason, as I was driving this morning I thought about this and was remembering that it might be a Basquiat piece, actually.
