Phillies vs. Gas House Gorillas

After the Phillies win and Cliff Lee's amazing performance in game 1, I tweeted something about him being like Bugs Bunny. When I said the same thing in my office, all of the 20-somethings had no idea what I was talking about. After my explanation they still didn't know what I meant. This morning, just like every Saturday morning when I was a kid, I watched a little Bugs.
Yep! Spring training has already begun! How 'bout some baseball? :)

I find myself thinking more about baseball than football this morning, which is kind of unusual for the end of October. Here's hoping that Cole Hamels can channel a little Bugs too for tonight's game.

I haven't seen that Looney Tunes in years. Thanks! Perfect complement to the game. My sister's at the game. I'm happy to be nice and dry on my couch. God, please let the Phils win!

Oh man, I love that Bugs Bunny. I haven't seen it in years, either. Does any channel even still show Bugs Bunny?

Sorry about your Phils. I thought the series turned when Lidge couldn't hold the 4-4 tie in Game 4. You come out of that tied 2 games apiece and Lee going in Game 5, you got a great shot.

Oh well, it's football season anyway. Surely it's about time for a Cowboys/Eagles clash.

Kathy: Stinky let us down!

Bone: You are exactly right. We lived by Lidge last year, he killed us this year. Although Howard disappearing didn't help things either. You are also right about football; beating the Cowboys this weekend is just what I need to lift my spirits. Beating OSU on Saturday won't hurt either...

I'm not saying a word.

No, really I'm not, because I know we still have to play again this year :)

Bone, what I tweeted the day after the game pretty much says it all.

The World Series followed by the travesty of football this weekend reminded why I shouldn't trash talk. It never ends well.
